General Introduction

7 of Swords

The 7 of Swords is really all about trust, suspicion, and ethics. You may be on the receiving end, or it may be you that’s not being as upright as you should be.

It may be that someone is spying on you and if you have suspicions in that direction you may be right. You should make sure that anything you are doing is ethical and correct, and of course legal goes without saying. Make sure you cover your a** is one way of putting it. If you’re not doing anything wrong you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

On the other hand, if it is you that is spying on someone, or being tempted to spy on someone then think again. You like your privacy so extend the same courtesy to them. You would need to have a really good and ethical reason to justify poking around in someone else’s life.

If you are taking part in any sort of competition in the near future then the 7 of Swords will be of interest to you. It indicates that you need to keep an eye open for cheating as not everyone is as ethical as they should be.

Cheating is all about getting an unfair advantage so it is worth bearing in mind that untrue allegations could be made against you at any time if someone thinks it’s to their benefit. Make sure that you are doing everything by the book and exactly as it should be done. In other words make sure you are squeaky clean.

Friends and Family

The 7 of Swords is not the worst card  you could have appear in connection with friends and family but it certainly isn’t the best one either. Having said that, it is a card that should be taken as somewhat of a warning. Failure to do so could lead to difficulties that you would be better off without.

It usually means that there is likely to be a tendency for boundaries to be disrespected somewhere along the line. Putting it bluntly someone is likely to be sticking their nose in to somewhere it has no right to be.

Everyone is entitled to privacy and that doesn’t give anyone the right to intrude just because they are family or a friend. They should be more respectful of your boundaries not less.

Of course if you are the one sticking your nose in then you should take a moment to reconsider what you’re doing. Privacy is a two way street.

Love and Relationships

Those of you in a relationship will find that the 7 of Swords is all about trust. Trust is absolutely critical to the long term success of any relationship, but particularly so for a romantic one.

If you’re feeling suspicious of your partner then you need to ask yourself just how real those suspicions are. Do you truly have grounds to suspect something is going on? Are you overreacting?

If you can’t put your suspicions to one side then you need to speak to your partner and get your misgivings sorted out. It’s not going to be easy and it will certainly be uncomfortable but you need to get this dealt with. Letting it slide and letting everything fester will be a downward slippery slope for your relationship otherwise.

Someone with real potential is about to enter your life if you are looking for love. If you are interested once your paths have crossed then make sure they know it. Playing hard to get and disinterested may work on some people, but it won’t on this one. They will take your apparent lack of interest as real and move on. They are not looking to waste their time.

Spiritual Growth

There are many spiritual beliefs out there and just as many leaders or gurus to go with them. Some of these people are good, some are merely mediocre, and some are not so good. And some are simply questionable.

The 7 of Swords is warning you against anyone or any entity that is promising spiritual enlightenment in exchange for money. Spiritual enlightenment is not a sporting event and it is not available on demand for a payment.

Work and Career

This is a time when your work is likely to come under close scrutiny by your employer. Rightly or wrongly you will be under the spotlight, so you must keep your nose to the grindstone and not give the powers that be any grounds for criticism.

Make sure you are doing everything you are supposed to do, and not only that but make sure you are doing it the way it is supposed to be done. Do it by the book and don’t be tempted to take shortcuts.

The 7 of Swords is telling those of you still looking for a job that it would benefit you to talk to anyone and everyone you know. Not only your current friends and acquaintances but those you have worked with in the past too.

Message from Spirit

Although spiritual or religious leaders who are genuine can indeed help guide some people, the truth is you do not need any of them to grow spiritually. There is nothing they can do for you that you can’t do for yourself.
