General Interpretation

7 of Cups

The 7 of Cups is really about having too much going on at once. One metaphor would be “too many irons in the fire” but perhaps the one you should pay particular attention to is “jack of all trades, master of none.” If you try and do everything then you will end up doing nothing particularly well.

There is no need to do everything at a breakneck speed, so you need to slow down and not try to do everything at once. Prioritize and prioritize meaningfully and take it from there.

Friends and Family

The 7 of Cups is likely to indicate a somewhat messy period where friends and family are concerned. They will be making calls upon your time; some will be important and meaningful but some quite frankly will be insignificant and not in the least bit important.

This is one of those times where quantity will definitely outweigh quality. You may find that there are simply not enough hours in the day to be able to address everyone’s wants and needs so you will need to prioritize and put your time and effort somewhere it is truly needed.

Love and Relationships

Those of you looking for love are likely to find  yourselves overwhelmed with the sheer effort of it all right now. In some respects this is because you are trying too hard to make it happen. Ask yourself if quantity rather than quality is the right way to go with the number of dates you have been on.

If you are in a relationship then you might find that it is a little disconcerting at present. All relationships change and that is the way it should be. Just because there has been change though does not mean that something is wrong.

Stop trying to analyze to the nth degree because you are trying to fix something that “ain’t broke.” You’re not going to do any lasting harm but you are going to waste time that could be better spent on togetherness.

Spiritual Growth

Once again it is a case of having too many irons in the fire. You are much more likely to find that this is the case if you are someone who is deeply spiritual rather than deeply religious. Whereas religion tends to pull you into a single line of practice, spirituality does not. You can multitask to your hearts content!

However you are trying to do too much in too many different directions. Choose your spiritual priorities carefully and concentrate on the few rather than the many.

Work and Career

You are likely to find that you have too much on your plate at work to be able to function efficiently. Multi tasking is all well and good but it has to be kept within achievable limits and the appearance of the 7 of Cups indicates that those limits have been exceeded.

You are not going to manage to get everything that needs to be done done. If you can delegate, do so. If  you cannot delegate and asking for help is not possible then prioritize.

If you are unemployed and looking then consider that you may be applying for too many jobs. Think about the possibilities you have and then shortlist the ones that you consider will bear fruit and then concentrate on those.

Message from Spirit

You are trying to do too much at once. Slow down, take a deep breath, and figure out what really needs to be done and then do it.
