This is generally a very good card, particularly for one-on-one familial relationships, or friendships. People are going to see you positively, and not only are you going to be loved, but you are also going to feel loved. When it comes to family, this card indicates that you should go directly to the source if there is a conflict or problem with someone.
For example, don’t go to your mother if you have a problem with your sister. In general, you are well thought of and cared about so if you are lonely, you may need to re-evaluate the way you look at yourself or think about yourself; people like you better than you realize.

Love and Relationships
This is the part of life that most people associate the Lovers with, and it is an excellent card to get in a reading about love and relationships. It implies deep, true, meaningful love.
When it shows up in a reading about someone you have just met, or are in the process of getting to know, or beginning to date, it couldn’t be any more positive or indicate any more clearly that a meaningful relationship is going to develop.
That does not mean that it will all be sunshine and roses; it is a mistake to think that true love means no conflict – it doesn’t. It just means that it’s going to be an important relationship to both parties.
If you are single and hoping for a relationship, this card is an indicator that one could well be forthcoming. Contemplate your place in the natural order of things, no matter what your belief system is or even if you simply believe in life. You have a right to be here, on this plane, or else you would not be here.
How can you learn while you are here? The Lovers is suggesting that the best way to learn is in the context of being (and understanding) the fact that you are beloved. How well do you think people learn lessons when they feel that their teachers hate them?
You can’t control how the rest of humanity thinks and feels toward you, but you most certainly can control how you think about, and feel toward, yourself. And you deserve nothing short of love and support. If you don’t, who will?
Work and Career
Many readers interpret the Lovers here to mean that you should or must love the job that you are in, and although of course that would be nice, it is not the main meaning of this card in this context.
The Lovers in the context of career/work indicates that you need to be very cautious if you are considering mixing business with pleasure, i.e. a workplace relationship. There is next to no chance that this relationship will stay 100% private. The romance almost always becomes general knowledge no matter how discreet people try to be.
The Lovers can also mean that you have a decision to make with regard to work. Are you best served by staying where you are, or do you need to start working on making a move? Down deep you already know the answer.
The fact is that it’s just possible under the Lovers’ influences that you’ve overstayed your welcome and you should not push your luck. Be on the lookout for a new job.
If you are already looking for work and get this card, it is a very good omen. Having said that, it would be a mistake to be even a little bit cocky when interviewing. Even though you may be a shoe in for the position any hint of arrogance on your part could result in the search for work continuing.
Money and Finances
When you get the Lovers in the context of money and finance, it is important not to get carried away. In general, when this card appears, it is easy to think and feel that people see the best in us, and that we don’t have to worry too much about getting hired or keeping our jobs because everyone can see that we are really excellent in most ways.
Even though the Lovers is generally positive for money and finances it does come with a warning that you should not take your job for granted. No job equals no money for most people and that is something that you should not be cavalier about.
Although your finances are likely to be quite stable provided you do not do anything especially unwise the Lovers is unlikely to mean an increase of money in any meaningful way. It is not impossible that you will come into some extra funds, but it is likely to be more by luck than judgment. Be cautious with your money and you should be fine.

The message here is really very simple. You cannot have enough love in your life and you get more of it by giving more of it away. In other words, the more love you give out to others the more you are likely to receive.
