Three Card

Three Card Tarot Spread The Three Card tarot spread is probably one of the oldest spreads in existence. Sometimes called the Simple spread, it is one that most tarot readers will learn before moving on to more complex offerings.

This tarot spread can be used to look at almost anything, but it will not give a great deal of detail. That’s not to say that it shouldn’t be used for complex questions because it can. It really all depends on just how much information you want the Tarot to communicate.

Highly suitable for “yes,” or “no,” or “maybe” type simple questions it can still be used for more complex ones provided in-depth detail is not required.

Cards: 3

  2. Present
  3. Future

Notes:

Suitable for the inexperienced and experienced alike, the Three Card spread is a popular choice for readers. For the novice it yields more than pulling a single card does, yet doesn’t overload you with complexities.

As long as you are aware of its limitations it’s a good spread to cut your teeth on.
