The Three Card tarot reading, is as its name suggests, a 3 card reading! This is probably one of the Tarot’s very earliest spreads and can be used to look at almost anything.
Having said that it can be used for anything it is important to understand its limitations. This reading is really best used for a question that only requires a “yes” or “no” or perhaps a “maybe” as an answer. It will give a little information, but only a little, for each card which will be enough to produce a short summary reading. What it will not do is give a great deal of detail.
It is fine for a simplistic question where all that is required is little more than the above mentioned “yes” or “no” or “maybe.” If your question is complex then other readings are a better choice if your requirements exceed a shot synopsis. Relationship readings in particular benefit from a more detailed examination than this spread can provide.
It does look at the past and the present, and indeed the future but only in a simplistic fashion. The devil is in the details as the saying goes, and so it is with tarot readings! If you need detail then consider one of our other readings.
